It has been a while since i cleared my yahoo email. more than 100 emails waiting for me to go thru, delete etc. Happened to come across this interesting email, dated July 2006. haha.. 10 steps on how to become better couples. well… i may not agree on all 10 steps totally but i have to say generally, these steps looks good on paper. mayb if a couple can do 8 out if 10, quite good liao. i like the steps below as they stated both guys n gals play a part in maintaining the good relationship. always easier said than done.. definitely not easy maintaining a relationship but it’ll be super difficult if one party do not care to tink of how to strengthen the r/s n take things for granted..

so couples out there.. learn n constantly tell urself, n each other how lucky it is to be together n love each other more

How To Be A Better Couple
10 steps to enjoying each other better…

1. Be realistic about each other.
Don’t try to turn ur partner into something he or she is not. Let’s face
it, guys-there’s only 1 Pamela Anderson in the world, and even she has had her implants removed! Give ur gal a break and understand that her physical appearance is NOT going to change overnite with the help of a few facials or treat ments. And ladies, Brad Pitt has already been taken, so u’re gonna have to do with what ur guy is like! Chill out, love each other for what u are. There is more to ur partner than what meets the eye.

2. Always talk things out.
Now guys, I know this is not ur fave pastime or mode of resolving issues, but u know what? This works with the gals. Don’t make assumptions about each other’s feelings. Learn to xpress urself better so that ur partner undrstands what u’re angry about, or hurt about, or even happy about! When u stop talking to each other from the heart, it’s the beginning of the end.

3. Do stuff together.
Make an effort to do things together. Do some sports or involve urselves in some shared activities; something both of u enjoy or are interested in. It could be as simple as watching movies together, or jus strolling hand-in-hand down Orchard Road. Watch soccor with him once in a while though the green patch on TV puts u to sleep in 3 seconds. And guys, do give in if ur gal asks for another day at window-shopping, rather than suggest that she go out with her girlfriends for "that sort of activities" instead. If u’re spending more time with ur friends rather than with ur partner, it’s a warning sign that u’re drifting apart!!!

4. Meet each other halfway.
If he agrees to throw out that rotten T-shirt with the "The_Rock" print, u shouldn’t kick up much of a fuss if he asks u to keep ur room tidy. There’s gotta be a little giving and taking in a relationship, so learn to meet each other halfway.

5.Show ur love
Buy her flowers or candy or perfume everynow and then, even if u have been together for 5years. It’s wonderful to continue showing someone that u care for him or her. Cook him a special meal, paint him a Valentine’s Day card. Knit him mini-socks he can’t wear ( like for decoration purposes => ), buy him a packet of milk for breakfast, or pack his wardrobe for him…so he knows u can still be romantic and loving despite having been together for quite a while.

6. Respect each other.
Stop making jokes about her hair or skin, or whatever it is u love to laugh at. Ask urself if she thinks if its funny. And if he has an inferiority complex about his height, stop ogling at tall guys and make him feel worse! Love is about respecting each other’s feelings and being sensitive to each other at all times.

7. Bury the past.
Stop bringing up the past. Gals..don’t bring up the happy things about u and ur ex to ur guy, it would jus make him jealous or unhappy. And guys, don’t talk about the happy times that u had with ur ex or mention about her in ur every other sentence as it would make ur gal feel un-happy and she might think that u saying all this b’cos u are gonna get back with ur ex or not interested in her anymore.

8. Sit on ur jealousy.
All of us go thru’ spells of insecurity at the beginning of the relationship, but don’t translate that insecurity into jealousy. If u’re gonna go through ur partner’s mail and cupboard, and eavesdropping on conversations, u know something is wrong - with u!!! Jealousy is like a poison that slowly spreads thru’ the relationship before finally killing it. Trust ur partner; love has to have trust in it.

9. Keep ur commitments to each other.
If ur partner is standing u up all the time and cancelling dates and breaking promises, u need to talk! If u’re in a relationship, make ur partner ur priority and don’t disappoint them if u can help it. It’s really terrible when someone promises to take u to dinner, and then calls to cancel it. Don’t make promises u can’t keep. If ur partner starts to feel that he/she is not important enough to u, u may jus lose him/her.

10. Be honest.
Honesty is not scowling at how awful she looks first thing in the morning, or telling him that he has the biceps of a fly~! When we say "be honest", we mean expressing ur feelings clearly, not being bitingly cruel. When u’re hurt, say so, and when u’re angry, tell him/her, w/o getting hysterical. If u can’t be honest with ur partner, who can u be honest with? ?Love is also about honesty, and a relationship where no honesty exists probabl! y isn’t worth it!

The public holiday tt everyone has been looking forward to over! so fast! my holiday is slightly extended.. i’m sitting in office now but in a way enjoying my holiday.. boss on mc this week.. so in another words, no ‘government’ around! i tink i deserve quite a good rest after 2 programs in feb so i self declare holiday.. walk into office 9.30 every morn and do nothing for the past 3days. opps.. a bit bad i know.. haha.. but it’s a once in a while heaven!

Piggy year.. supposed to b my year.. yes, 2 rounds of pigs liao, 24yrs old. haha.. but as most ppl know, i’m actually under doggy year cos my bday falls before cny. well well.. doesnt matter, just happy tt cny is here because.. 1) Holiday! 2) angbaos! haha.. this yr quite good.. new year eve falls on sat, fri leave office at abt 3. tues additional holiday..

New Year eve dinner at Amara hotel this year. near my place so can just walk there. food not tt impressive though. as usual took a lot of silly picts.. haha. 1st day of new year, went dad’s mom’s hse to bai nian. dear came over my hse bai nian 1st and we went together. there is a cute doggy at my ah ma’s place.. but it’s only cute when it doesnt come near me. ppl who love doggy pls dun hate me. i dun hate animals, i just dun like the idea of them sniffing around me n trying to lick me. everybody has some degree of fear for certain things for sure n mine happen to b all kinds of animals n insects tt come near me. after bai nian we all went to meet dear’s mama at PS and we had a Swensen’s dinner and watched ‘Just Follow Laws’. tt’s day 1 Day 2, i went over to dar’s hse to bai nian with koon and the 2 guys played ps2 till it’s time to head to my mom’s dad’s place. a more happening day every year cos there are a lot of relatives n kids. but wat’s diff tis yr was my uncle brought his doggy. unlike the cute doggy at my ah ma’s place, this one look very fierce, will bark at ppl n seem to want to bite when ppl try to play with it. 2 of my cousins n i ended up sitting at one corner of the sofa hiding from tt dog for hrs. sadded. luckily the doggy left after dinner n we all can relax after tt. wat makes this day usually more interesting was we played blackjack. like a kid’s gambling dan.. more kids sitting around the table to play than adults. haha. no luck tis yr. i lost the most but just for fun la. haha..

3rd day of cny.. dear’s mama, dear n i went sentosa to see flowers. wow.. so many ppl loh.. i tink there r more ppl than flowers to see. haha. we took cable car over. the sentosa express from wat we see at the station was almost fully packed with ppl and it’s not fun to go via bus i guess. the flower thingy was free but the cable car quite ex. haha.. the Sentosa Flowers is held at the Imbiah Lookout this year, unlike last year at the old ferry terminal. themed Rhymes in Bloom, so cute.. hee.. saw a lot of rhymes characters such as Humpty Dumpty, Polly Put the Kettle on etc.. took quite a lot of picts but a lot of shots were the take n go kind. too many ppl around for u to stand n pose nicely, retake if u dun like. so just b sure u smile n pose nicely once n for all. even so, sometimes some ppl will just blur blur walk in front of ur cam while u try to take picts. luckily it wasnt a bright sunny day.. neither did it rain. just cloudy. the heat came from the crowd n constant walking though. nevertheless i tink we had fun after tt went Vivocity walk walk. weird, no matter how many times i go i still feel tt vivocity has nothing nice to shop. most of the time busy looking for directions n avoiding the crowd more than concnetrating on shopping. went Habour Front for dinner at Sakae and took more picts.. haha.. it’s like a picture taking day! but i’m glad to haf tis 3rd day of new yr off as we get the chance to go to like tis for fun instead of just going from hse to hse for bai nian. i hope i still haf the time n chance to visit the river ang bao.. nothing much to see every year but still it’s somewhere to go with the new year mood.

yupz yupz.. tt’s abt all the update. heading over to jeannie’s hse tomorrow for bai nian n gathering i’ll continue to go enjoy my heaven life now!

This special day of yours signifies another year older.. special yrs of life? 1yr old 12yr old when u get ur ic… Happy Sweet 16.. seem specially impt to the western cty… in s’pore 18yr old seem to b more impt huh? n 21st bday.. wow.. can go casino, can watch R21, legally adult.. n finally 55yrs old.. hee.. can withdraw CPF…

My special day tis yr marked my 24yrs…

Thanks everybody… who wished me happy birthday in one way or another since 12mid nite 31-Jan until 1-Feb when ppl still rem to send me belated wishes. Thank you all for the well wishes, testimonials & presents!

Had an early bday celebration with my family on Sunday. Watched Apocalypto at Suntec. Quite a violent show but i tink it’s good n worth watching. After that we haf dinner at Thai Express Esplanade. A simple celebration with family.. they’re also n always the first to wish me happy birthday on the dot of 12 on my bday n come to me with all the ang baos Thanks!

Actual day celebration with Dear. Poor Dear off work much later than usual that day and haf to rush to celebrate bday with me. Surprised me with a nice bouquet of pink rose n little bear. We call it Little Pinky Pinkcy Had dinner at our favourite Fish & Co. Bugis. This place holds a significant meaning to us, n it still brings back memories everytime i step in even though the place has been renovated n looked different from 2yrs ago after dinner went shopping for new year clothes n took neocards. Still deciding between 2 hp for my bday present.. indecisive me.. hmm.. haha.. Thanks Dear for celebrating my bday with me. 3rd bday we celebrated together for me It was a simple celebration but still gd to spend time together.

Still planning to meet groups of frenz over next week n looking forward to the meet ups

20th Jan 07, Sat. It’s dar’s ALS family day. 2 yrs ago it was at Kusu Island n there wasnt any activity last yr. tis yr it’s at Sentosa.

dar n i met at 8.30am Vivocity. wanna eat BK breakfast but believe it or not, tt damn big mega mall is only big in size but not content. the BK is not even opened for breakfast. neither were other fast food restaurants. only Coffee Bean n Kopitiam open. So we had half boil eggs, kaya toasts n coffee at kopitiam.

took the new Sentosa Express! haha.. supposed to b $3 but when we produced tix to show tt we’r attending the function organised in Sentosa, it’s free! unlimited rides within Sentosa as long as u dun exit Vivocity. actually it’s nothing special la. haha. just LRT loh. but quite fast n convenient. The activity is held at Palawan Beach. VIP arrived at abt 10+ and we clapped n shouted cheers, listened to the yr’s acheivements b4 activities starts. Treasure hunt, beach soccer, sand castle building, carnival games.. well.. none of them seemed to suit us exactly. haha. we ’sneaked’ off for our own activities. haha..

we had discounts to attractions like Fort Siloso, Images of Singapore, Merlion and Sky Tower. We 1st went to the Images of Singapore. wa.. now quite ex ah.. per tix is $10. but the place was interesting.. can take a lot of very funny pictures.. haha.. really had fun.. it was a few yrs since i last been to this. i tink we were more busy taking silly picts instead of reading the history of Singapore. haha.

Went back to the beach area for lunch.. buffet catered.. haha.. n free cotton candy.. yum.. look at some prize presentations and all and we move on to our other attractions.. haha.. like very bad hor.. just there to show face and eat lunch.. hee.. well.. we didnt managed to go for the free photo shoot! heard dar said those who took the photo at one of the booth had their photo printed on a post card n given to them for free! most ppl had family shots n some took with colleagues. so cute! tt would have made quite an interesting souvenir but missed it..

Next stop.. Fort Siloso. haha. wow.. from last time $3 increase to now $8. Sentosa attractions really r killers. but the place look newly renovated. new coat of paint, more exhibits etc. the sky look threatening when we were abt to enter but well. lucky it did not rain there were japanese visiting the place n i couldnt do funny n silly poses with the japanese wax figures around.. haha..

Underwater World even more killer! $19.50 each. haha. but includes dolphin lagoon. so cute! n for the 1st time i managed to catch the whole show. by the time we went back to underwater world it’s abt 4.30. wow. terrible! we met up with tis indian tour grp which we decided to let them enter 1st n we took some picts outside. who knows another india tour came n the whole place was packed! not being racist here but they really squeezed their way around. sometimes stand in the middle of nowhere blocking the whole path. mayb it was becos tour grps only haf an hr there n they wanna make full use of the time. to make matter worse, korean tour grps also came! the koreans were so rough n rude! they pushed their way thru as well n the move around like u’r invisible, just knock into u n dun care. terrible. wat a bad experience!

well.. to make matter from worse to worst! while we were taking LRT back from sentosa to Vivo, we met this unreasonable auntie.  even up till now we feel like just beating some sense out of her. let me try to make this angry encounter ’short n sweet’..

i had a seat, all 3 seats beside me taken. next stop, 3 of them got off, dar came to sit beside me. but there was this family of 3 who boarded, parents who look abt 40 n skinny kid abt 7. they wanted to snatch the 3 seats as well. since the journey not gonna b tt long, dar moved towards me n we kind of shared a seat, taking probably 1/5 of tt auntie’s seat. well, nevertheless, get the picture right first. 2 of us sharing 1 1/5 seat while the family took 2 4/5 seat. the auntie soon started to tell the kid in a sacarstic manner not to keep moving cos SOMEONE is taking up HER seat. duh! we tried to shift a bit upon hearing tt but apparently she was not satisfied n tapped on dar’s back to ask him to sit properly n not take HER seat. wa lau.. *%#@ dar stood up from the seat. duh! what right has she to ask ppl to move away to let her fat ass have a seat? further more, her damn skinny kid dun even need to take up one whole seat! i got so angry n told tt idiot woman ‘he got the seat 1st loh.’ dar got angry n practically screamed at her.. ‘u wanna sit, let u take the seat la.’ i wouldnt want to sit beside her now n stood up glaring at her too. of cos this little drama caught everybody’s attention. tt fat ass was smart enough to keep her big mouth shut. the husband didnt say a single word in the whole incident, didnt even try to defend her wife. the stupid kid was still not sitting upright n kept moving around in the seat, seemingly unware of wat’s going on. how unreasonable! everybody feels tired after a whole day at sentosa. cant she just make do with sharing the seat a bit? especially when her seat was actually given to her by my dar who was considerate enough to let the family sit together.. DUH.. so so angry.. 1st time i even feel like screaming at an auntie in public..

cool down.. calm down.. *whew* i know we probably looked a bit like ah lian ah beng bullying aunty but well, we dun tink it’s right for aunties to think they can just get their way so unreasonably. we’r not bullying her.. just need to b reasonable..

finally got out of sentosa and met zhen! yeah! since she’s back from US we havent got a chance to meet. had a yummy chinese dinner at bugis, since she said no western food! haha. then walked to suntec n haf yummy coffee bean ice blended choc! hee.. heavenly. haha.. it’s great to know tt there r frenz who can still chat comfortably even though we havent meet up fo so long. well.. so much to catch up so i guess we’ll be meeting soon again ya..

Sunday.. went out again.. met pri sko frenz for lunch n witness a terrible fight in the store we’r having lunch at. 2 uncles fighting! actually looked more like one uncle beating the other with an iron rod. terrible.. n wat’s worse, the security came only 10mins later! the men ran off liao, hurt a couple of aunties sitting near them. n police worst! even after we finish our lunch still havent arrived.. sigh.. too inefficient. after tt we went bowling at kim seng n buy 4D together with significant numbers of the day. haha.. too bad didnt managed to win.

well well.. tiring weekend! tis is a long long entry of fun n anger together! haha…

Hey Hey! It’s holiday season! Dec.. a lot of ppl clearing leave, going overseas, at least 2 public holidays.. this yr 3.. wow.. feel so lethagic at work, especially after my one week hol at taiwan. hee…

one week b4 i left for my taiwan tour i was already clearing my time off n leave slowly. everyday left work a few hrs earlier, went shopping, menicure etc. so fun. haha.

had a great 2nd yr celebration. simple dinner, pretty gifts, a great camping trip.. spent xmas together, gonna spend new yr together.. big ups, big downs.. tt’s how some labled my r/s.. but well.. i hope to look into stabalising.. i dun need the big ups, never ever want the big downs. i guess the process of learning to accommodate each other in our lives is never easy. it may also b never ending. there’s definitely a lot more to learn.. a long way to go… but i’m happy now

then comes the interesting tour with my family..

 

 

Taipei, Taidong, Yeliu, Hualian, Tainan, Kaoshiong, Taizhong.. wow.. really went around Taiwan in 7 days. the trip was pretty good.. just tt most of the time was spent on the coach moving from one place to another. the travelling time was often longer than the time we stayed at each attraction. The good things abt the trip were the holiday relaxed mood, the nice cool weather (15-18C) the very yummy yummy food & the great shopping. too bad we didnt shop enough at the night markets. the time stayed there usually too short to shop much n a lot of winter wear. haha.. aiya, but tour is always fun la.. as long as can get away from work, from s’pore, the relaxed mood is always there. mayb i sldnt elaborate much for the trip.. it’ll take me hrs to do tt.. take a look at the picts.. these are just fractions of the more than 400picts we took! hee… but they sld be enough to summarise the whole trip..

ok.. general update.. life has been ok.. r/s… moving on.. work.. mayb wait for contract end look for better job or b lazy extend contract with the hellish boss n i continue to nag abt work everyday.. meeting up with frenz still n enjoying outings.. basically trying to stabalise life n b happy everyday loh.. not easy la.. how to b happy everyday when i often think n worry too much? but i’m trying

*yawnz* can you believe it?? it’s 3rd day into the week and i’m still tired from fun over the weekend.. haha…

i was happy that last week i managed to complete all the preparation for this week’s program. had a rather happening weekend, in my opinion, before i started this mth’s prog. now super tired at work.. n as usual plenty of things to do at program and next mth’s prog will start in 2weeks time.. rushing n rushing.. worst still was so damn frustrated with the ‘lion’ in my office.. arrgghh.. first time i see first hand how he tried to push blames at others even though it’s obviously his fault. i dun think i wanna work with this kind of person for long. i am actively searching for job! any intro??

sat aternoon, dear and i met and went walk walk at orchard. had dinner at taka… yum yum.. reminded me of those times when i was in sec sko, buy food from the taka foodcourt basement and then sit down around taka sq to eat n chat with frenz.. hee.. tt morn when i woke up suddenly felt like eating those food so we had dinner there… after tt we headed for clarke quay to meet fren. there was this NUS bash and we bought tix from fren to go. it was held in MOS and since dear and i has always wanted to go see look the place, we went. excited leh.. it’s my 1st clubbing experience after 23yrs. haha.. me so ulu.. ok la.. not as bad as i tot… dar chose a good spot to stay put.. the music wasnt so loud, not much of cigarette smell unless someone smokes near us. our frenz went to the dance floor and although i tink they had fun, the music was pretty loud there… too loud for me n dar. hee.. didnt drink much.. shared 3 drinks with dear. left MOS at abt 2.30 and went chinatown for supper. slept at abt 4.30 eventually… tired..

Sun… went robinsons buy farewell present for bro who already left office by now.. bought 2 ties and i took quite a while to choose since i’ve never bought  ties before.. haha… then we headed off to suntec to meet my cpf gang for dinner… kushinbo! wanna try tt for some time liao but didnt really have the chance.. finally we managed to go together.. i tink the place is rather ex but well.. the food is at least much better than a lot of buffet places. yummy. went home at abt 10 and slept late again…

Immediatly mon start prog… sian.. *yawnz* luckily this time my boss didnt come visit so it’s still rather free and easy.. tom’s the last day!! i must endure…

So fast.. Another National Day passed… still rem last yr dar n me wore red out to marina bay to watch some concert and fireworks.. now it’s another yr passed

tues.. took half day with my bro to fetch our little sis n her bf. they went back vietnam for holiday and bro was super enthu in picking them up.. haha.. we reached the budget terminal rather early n just sat down for coffee till they came.. it’s good to send frenz off at the airport knowing they’r gonna haf fun for their hol.. it’s even better feeling to pick them up from the airport cos u know they had fun and are safely back at nite… dar and i met gerry for his belated bday dinner. paiseh, didnt managed to attend his buffet lunch on his bday. after that we met up with his fren to go watch fireworks together. the crowd was bad… we set off from bugis rather late and ended up staying at padang to watch the fireworks.. not a bad view.. just cant see the low ones.. hmm.. i got to say Singapore’s fireworks were good but nothing tt impressive.. no wow feeling after watching..

wed.. national day.. intend to watch dvd at home with dar but ended up my brother used the dvd player whole day n my laptop sound system spoilt so hmm… practically did nothing.. in the evening, the 2 of us went orchard for dinner… yummy coffee club at taka.. ate my fac garlic prawn pasta and muddy mud pie.. yum yum… actually i dun really like to haf public hol in the middle of the week.. weird weird one.. cannot play n stay out late also cos got to work next day… best is on fri or mon liao.. well… no complaints.. a day of relaxation is better than nothing

missed fri nite’s fireworks.. i did see some of the high shots from my house and they were good..  i met dar on sat afternoon to go suntec see the cybergame thingy.. standard not very high i guess.. nothing impressive.. then walk walk around suntec and played at the arcade.. had a yummy dinner at Swiss Culture to celebrate our 20th mth… the food was good… just a bit ex.. hmm.. 2 person $50 and the dessert was free due to some UOB promotion.. if not the dinner will cost abt $70 with the dessert… hmm… not a place to eat at always but it’s thumbs up food after tt we went Toys’R'us buy bubbles to play at the esplanade where we wanna watch fireworks..(haha.. see ppl play we also gian) but if i tink the crowd on tues was bad… sat nite’s crowd was terrible! Team France did a great finale on the Firework festival… no wonder the crowd.. it was really worth watching.. but with the crowd we of cos couldnt play our bubbles.. haha.. so we waited for the crowd to disperse b4 we played.. n tt took some time.. eventually waited almost an hr for bus b4 we reached home.. jammed and buses couldnt move fast… on bus then realised how hot n tired we were.. haha.. mayb next yr we sld just go to the highest floor of my place to view the fireworks… no crowd n more comfy.. haha..

gonna b a busy work week next week… moving into my peak period for work n starting to feel the stress level rising… n bro quited.. sadded… now only one good colleague left to eat lunch with me.. more low morale… sigh… see how.. i got to complete my one yr contract… my aim… haha… i must learn to relax… relax…

I’ve got a new baby!! hee… yeah yeah… With my Fuzzey Bear and Sleepy Eeyore, i now have a Baby Eeyore! haha…

Monday nite, met darz for dinner then went bugis arcade and for those who always go arcade you couldnt have missed this new machine… Big Sweet Land or something.. haha.. it’s a big machine where you kind of scope sweets and try to push them off the tray into your prize box.. in the past ppl use to play tis ‘pushing’ game with tokens, where tokens or tickets will be given. now we’r playing with sweets. haha.. each try is 1buck.. so ex.. n the ultimate aim of the game is to win what is in the jackpot basket… usually soft toys. hee.. so my cutey baby eeyore was in one of these baskets and the 2 of us got tempted to play.. spent about 45bucks n still halfway up the jackpot meter (the meter is about 20 steps up).. we decided to give and dar’s fren decided to take over from there since it’s already half way up.. he used 30bucks and still couldnt reach it (he aleady spent abt 200buck and 2hrs b4 us.. won 3 soft toys n a few bags of sweets! haha).. so so near.. 1 more step to the jackpot! n from there me n dar cheated..took over the machine again n we just put in 1 more buck, and got the eeyore.. haha… aiya, it’s a silly n complicating explaination which i guess most of u reading till now dun get wat i’m trying to say unless u played the machine b4. hee.. nevertheless, the main pt is tt we got my eeyore and a big bag of sweets for 45bucks… excluding dar’s fren’s play. haha.. imagine how addictive and money wasting this game can be…

anyway, i was damn excited with my new baby… grinning and giggling happily all the way back home and  took so many picts of n with it. i’ll even tuck n kiss all my babies to bed at nite. haha.. i feel so crazy.. mayb this craziness wont last.. i hope it wont! but i’ll still love my 3 babies.. hee *muacks my darz for playing the silly machine with me*

Long long time never update my blog liao.. hee… so busy… did quite a lot of things these 3 weeks..

1st major event… i did my lasik! on the 4th and 6th of July.. i was so scared on the operation bed.. haha.. although the tot of good eyesight after the operation was gd.. those who have heard me talk abt the whole procedure in person.. hmm.. i’m sure u dun wanna hear it again.. kind of gross for such a fast op huh? each eye just took me abt 10mins on the operation bed.. but it was the waiting time tt was killing. got to put eye drop, wait, put eye drop again b4 the op… tt took more than an hr per eye.. haha… anyway, the whole thing cost me abt 4k including all the checkups n all.. yucks.. broke now.. stress.. i’m into the 3rd week after the op i guess.. my degree was high and the higher the degree the lower the chance of perfect eyesight. although i can see rather clearly without glasses or contacts now (yeah! tt’s the cool part) i know still not perfect eyesight.. i tink the last time i went check up it was 6/12.. u guys know rite? 6/6 is perfect so 6/12 is abt 100+ degree i guess.. best result will be at around the 3rd mth after the op.. stablised.. so by then if i still haf a certain amt of degree left, i’ll go thru the whole torturous process again and try to reduce the degree to 0 wish me luck!

a couple of days after lasik dar and i went to the NE NDP. this yr it’s at the stadium. actually doc advise is tt no crowded or dusty places after the op cos eyes will be dry, sensitive to light and the flap tt they removed then put back from the eyes (gross huh?) may fall out if someone knocks u hard enough.. haha.. but somehow.. my eyes dun feel dry. not tt sensitive to sunlight n all.. so i only got to be careful with the big crowd… haha.. it was fun even though it was just a NE show. very hot n humid day.. big n coperative crowd to stir up the parade mood.. we took many picts.. with flag n all.. haha.. like we very patriotic like tt.. haha.. after the parade we went Geylang…. for dinner la wanna eat frog leg porridge initially but it was too crowded so we ate the soya bean milk and you cha kua place instead.. well.. just as famous n crowded but we were lucky to haf seats. we even went for a little tour at the red light district before going home.. haha.. just to see look.. very interesting then dar stayed back at my hse to watch the Germany and Portugal match with my family… Yeah!!! Germany won! haha.. that match was really worth watching.. one of my fav.. a lot of energy and ‘acting’ seen. hee.. sad tt this yr’s timing all weird weird though since it’s held in European country. haf to stay up late, sleep real early in the morn.. for those who caught the matches, u know wat i mean after the match we took a nap n woke up at 9+ to have breakfast at swensens.. hmm.. not yummy.. haha.. but it was a gd feeling to just sit at swensens, slack, haf tea n coffee and just read newspaper.. very relaxed n gd environment. after dar went home i continued to sleep till late afternoon.. ready for the final match sunday night.. haha.. aiya.. tt one dun talk liao.. france lost… sadded…

after the world cup fever the next major event for me is a little getaway with my Pri sko frenz at Bintan.. just a 2days thingy.. we stayed at a resort so we did not go to the beach.. the resort was good enough to keep us occupied.. we were quite disappointed that the fruits buffet only consist of durians and rambutan this mth cos it’s the durian season. we were hoping for a mix fruit thingy.. hee.. anyway, it was a relaxing 2 days… the spa was very good.. yeah! made me wanna do spa even when i’m back in s’pore.. any good intro anybody? the nature was good.. all the greenery around u instead of tall buildings.. the nothing-to-do mood was good.. so relaxed, no need to tink abt work… next trip we gonna plan for more.. to a further place for a longer time Bintan is a bit.. hmm.. activity-less.. as compared to Genting… nevertheless, it’s the company and relaxation that made the trip worthwhile..

Immediately after the trip i came back for the Nestle programme.. very brave of me to be away before the prog starts.. haha.. as usual, the prog was gd.. cos i handle mah.. haha.. anyway, must emphasis.. the feeling of packing without bringing all the contacts stuff was good! the solution was so heavy n took up so much space! every nite i tried to shift some space by my bed side to put my glasses, only to realise i dun wear them anymore… haha.. so the luggage to Bintan and to my stay at hotel during the program was a lot lighter.

last thing for me for these 3 weeks.. dar n i celebrated our 19th mth a bit later this mth cos i went Bintan.. not exactly a celebration cos it’s rather tedious to celebrate it every mth huh? nevertheless we met up for a little stroll at Sentosa as i have free cable car tix.. then we went suntec watch Pirates of the Carribbean.. goody show! waiting for the 3rd one already… had dinner at Country Mania… yummy some gd food every now n then is gd.. yummy ribs! hee.. then dessert at NYDC.. our fav mudpie! then continue strolling around suntec b4 we call it a day
